PERSONAL PORTFOLIO

working as an architect & BIM modeler at estudio set

The project was awarded by a Uruguayan company to our firm to produce all the necessary plans for the bidding process with various subcontractors. We collaborated closely with several advisors, including those in charge of the structure, plumbing, interior design, and lighting, among others. Our team worked diligently to ensure that all plans were comprehensive and accurate, meeting the project's requirements and expectations. By working closely with the client and advisors, we were able to provide a seamless and efficient process for the project's planning and execution.

This apartment building located in Punta del Este, just one block away from the beach, offers a range of amenities for residents to enjoy. These include a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym, a massage room, BBQ grills, children's play area, teenage area, co-working spaces, and a meeting room. Additionally, the building is surrounded by green space, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities.

This building boasts 30 floors of apartments with various layouts to suit different needs. With multiple elevators available, residents can easily access their units on any floor. Additionally, each apartment has its own parking space for added convenience. The building also features a separate service entrance to cater to the needs of residents and staff. With a range of apartment types available, ample parking space, and dedicated service facilities, this building is designed to provide a comfortable and convenient living experience for its residents.

The entire model and its graphics were created using Revit software, following the BIM methodology. Using Revit and BIM methodology allowed for easy determination of quantity takeoffs, dimensions, and specifications of all the elements comprising the model, as well as generating necessary details, sections, elevations, and other elements required for accurate project costing.

As a member of the team responsible for creating all the necessary models and graphics for the amenities area, I was tasked with generating families of specific elements, including main access enclosures that seamlessly integrate with the hall's curtain wall, as well as adjusting and modeling them until they were fully documented. Additionally, I designed custom furniture pieces as requested by the interior design team.
The access enclosure operates as a distinct family unit, incorporating all its constituent parts, seamlessly blending with the curtain wall system, and encompassing the entire ground floor of the core and halls.
Furthermore, distinct families were created for the barbecue areas, where the grill space, complete with closure and wood storage unit, was designed alongside a bar area integrated with the social space, featuring a sink and cooking stove. The entire unit was grouped for efficient replication and to facilitate future modifications, streamlining the design process
A custom-made piece of furniture was created for the children's area at the request of the interior design team, serving as a play space that promotes a playful environment. The design was based on specific demands and requirements to meet the necessary standards. Additionally, all necessary pieces were created to facilitate subsequent production and construction.

The shopping center project was a complex undertaking that required careful planning and coordination between our firm and the North American design studio that commissioned us. The building itself was an existing structure that required extensive refurbishment to accommodate the new facilities and amenities that we proposed.

One of the key challenges of the project was ensuring that the shopping center was seamlessly integrated with the underground transportation line that passed beneath it. This involved careful consideration of the location of entrances and exits, as well as the positioning of escalators and elevators to ensure smooth passenger flow. We also had to ensure that the design of the new facilities did not disrupt the operations of the transportation line in any way.

In terms of the facilities themselves, we aimed to create a dynamic mix of spaces that would cater to the diverse needs and interests of the public. This included a range of retail spaces, dining areas, and recreational zones, as well as office units that would be attractive to businesses seeking to locate in a high-traffic area.

The project was generated in AutoCAD based on 3D models sent by the US-based firm to create all the necessary pieces for the development of the project.

As part of the team responsible for designing the main entrances to the building and its circulations, I worked on creating the layout of the lobby and the various entry points to the shopping center, as well as the connections to the nearby subway station.

The project is a reform proposal on the upper floor of a land standard under a horizontal property regime in Punta del Este (Maldonado, Uruguay) with amazing views of the sea.

As a first measure of the proposal, it seeks to recreate the style of the existing construction with a clear volumetry with stone materiality crowned with a horizontal element that seeks to recreate the line of the ground floor slab.

Subsequently, a bedroom/living room space is developed in such a way that the different views that generate interest in customers can be appreciated, enhancing the visual experience with exterior terraces located pointing towards the beach.

It is for this reason that it is decided to stack all the services and circulations in the sectors furthest from the main facade. Finally, for the terrace space, wood finishes and railings are chosen that do not interrupt the visuals towards the facade of Avenida Brasil.

The project was generated using both Revit and AutoCAD, taking into consideration all the complexities of the project. Lightweight materials were used to avoid overloading the existing structure.
The expansion project boasts stunning views of the sea and nearby island, with a spatial continuation that seamlessly flows into a beautiful wooden deck. This design feature not only enhances the visual appeal of the building, but also provides an inviting outdoor space for relaxation and leisure activities. The use of natural materials, such as wood, further connects the building to its surroundings and promotes a sense of harmony with the environment.
Once the construction was completed, slight changes were made in the distribution of certain elements due to the client's requests. These changes were made to improve the functionality and efficiency of the spaces, without compromising the overall design and aesthetic of the project. The modifications were carried out by the same team of architects and engineers who originally developed the project, ensuring a coherent and integrated outcome.
